Pantech is not a popular  name we usually find with the names with big brand of premium mobile devices, but that is not keeping the company’s aggressive plans to expand into the profitable smartphone industry like Huawei and Panasonic, You may or may not know that Pantech has released a set of fearure packed phones other than the vega Lte. In this series the company annoucead the New Pantech Vega Racer 2, which despite the awkward name was pretty good enough for going up against the big names in the Android world.
the Racer brings home the following set of features
  •  4.8-inch 720p display, which puts it nicely between the Galaxy SII and Galaxy Note in terms of size.
  •  Powering everything is the dual-core Qualcomm Krait processor, probably clocked at 1.5GHz. It may be “only” a dual-core, but it is the latest 28nm technology from Qualcomm, which should make it plenty fast for regular use.
  • Connectivity includes the standard Wifi, GPS, FM radio, and Korean LTE bands, and everything is wrapped in what Pantech claims is the first ceramic body on a mobile device.

Though it has not been clear on the software front but still we may see Ice cream sandwich or a similar operating system coming equiped with the device. which may prove the the Racer 2 a good device.Powered by Android it seems fairly safe to assume that the trend will continue. Provided that it does run Android, the Racer 2 should prove to be a very good device. Unfortunately, the Vega line has traditionally been restricted to Korea, but Pantech does sell some phones in the states. If we are lucky we may get it in US or you may still import with Korea
